In 2008, Just Nature Skin Care and Planet Charity team up with Conserve to offer the ‘eco-hip’ Conserve European-style handbags for the holidays. Planet Charity is the philanthropic arm for Just Nature Skin Care.
Planet Charity's mission is to support the work of environmental non-profit organizations. These partnerships build on Just Nature Skin Care's commitment to remain true to nature and give back to the communities we serve.
Conserve handbags are styled by designers in London and Paris, and are made from recycled plastic shopping bags.
• More than 50 recycled shopping bags go into each purse.
• Conserve handbags are produced under the fair trade model.
• The handbags are created from Handmade Recycled Plastic, so no two bags are exactly alike.
• Currently, only 100 handbags per day are produced.
The Conserve handbag project addresses the serious problem of plastic waste in a creative, sustainable, and affordable way, while helping more than 300 low-income families in Delhi and improving the environment.
